3DS trailer for the Legend of Zelda

The next handheld Zelda game looks to be a great one. This game isn’t quite a sequel to Legend of Zelda : Link to the past but it is set in the same world with different enemies and completely new puzzles.

From what was showcased in the trailer, there will be new ways to interact with the world like no other previous Zelda game has done in the past. The next Zelda game is slated to come out this Holiday 2013.

New Pokemon Looks A Lot Like Mewtwo

In a Japanese TV show last week called “Pokemon Smash” they revealed a new trailer for the newest Pokemon for Pokemon X and Y.

The new Pokemon that was unveiled bears a slight resemblance to first generation Pokemon Mewtwo.

There is no confirmation of the final name or Pokemon type attached to the new Pokemon.

Pokemon X and Y will be coming out world wide on October for the Nintendo 3DS.

Next Xbox Might Come Out Late May

According to IGN, Paul Thurrot, a veteran technology blogger, revealed a possible May 21 release date for the next gen Xbox codenamed Durango.

Thurrot stated that the price range will be $500 for the normal version of the Xbox and $300 for a subscription model.

He also asserts that the next Xbox will most likely be always-online and that it would not offer any backwards compatibility.

Thurrot debunked rumors that the next gen Xbox will be a entertainment first device rather than being a video game oriented device.

Mojang Teases Horses For Minecraft

Minecraft might feature horses in the near future according to a post from Mojang video game programmer Jens Bergensten.

Bergensten teased a photo on Twitter of  a horse as a hint of what will be mostly likely be featured in the next 1.6 update of Minecraft.

There hasn’t been confirmation of when the 1.6 update will come to Minecraft for the PC or Xbox.  Stay tuned for more updates and news about Minecraft.

Uprising DLC Coming to Black Ops 2

According to IGN, Activision announced there new dlc pack Uprising, which will be hitting Xbox Live  on April 16 for 1200 Microsoft Points.

Uprising will include four new multiplayer maps called Magma, Encore, Vertigo, and Studio and a new zombies story mode called Mob of the Dead.

Mob of the Dead will feature iconic mobsters from Hollywood including Michael Madsen, Chazz Palminteri, Ray Liotta, and Joe Pantoliano.

The Story of the Mob of the Dead will revolve around prohibition era mobster’s who try to escape Alcatraz prison but are quickly interrupted by the  undead.

Treyarch unveiled a new feature in the Mob of the Dead called “Purgatory”, which will send players to the afterlife after they die from the zombies.

No date as of yet has been confirmed on when Uprising will be hitting other platforms.

Lay Offs Are Confirmed For Lucas Arts

According to Kotaku, Lucas Arts has announced lay offs of 150 employees and has of right now Star Wars: First Assault and Star Wars 1313 have been cancelled.

Rumors were brought up that Lucas Arts put Star Wars 1313 on hold for the development of the new Star Wars trilogy. Lucas Arts announced the lay offs as the company tries to transition from internal development to licensing games.

However Game Informer reports that Star Wars 1313 might still come out via licensing.

No word is out there about whether this would affect the chances of a Star Wars: Battlefront 3 game in the future.

High Moon Studios Suffers Layoffs

High Moon Studios, the developers of the upcoming Deadpool game and developers of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, will be laying off 40 full time employes according to Kotaku.

These lay offs come in a time during the development of High Moon Studios next big game Deadpool. According to statement by High Moon, it seems that these lay offs are most likely  caused by financially issues that Activision is going through.

In a statement made to IGN, Activision will be offering the lay offed employees counseling services for there outplacement.

In the past month, Activision had to lay off staff from Treyarch. Recently Activision’s Minneapolis publishing division announced a move a way from licensed games according to IGN.

Telltale’s Fables Game The Wolf Among Us Announced

Telltale recently revealed that there next video game project will be The Wolf Among Us. This game is based on the DC comic series Fables by Bill Willingham.

The Wolf Among Us will be set before the come book series. Players will control Bigby Wolf (The Big Bad Wolf), his goal is to protect fairy tale characters from being detected in the world.

The Wolf Among Us will be coming out this summer on the MAC, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.

 

Micro-transactions For Black Ops 2 Is Coming For PS3 And PC

Activision just announced Micro-transactions for Black Ops 2 will be coming to PS3 and PC on April 12.

The micro items will include 9 personalized themed packs, 10 extra Create-A-Class slots, the Flight of The World calling card packs, and the Nuketown 2025 multiplayer zombie map.

No price has yet been confirmed as of yet for all of these Micro-transactions, stayed tuned for later updates.

Battlefield 4 Officialy Revealed

Through a series of leaked information over the past days, EA has finally confirmed that Battlefield 4 will be coming out around Fall of 2013.

EA officially announced Battlefield 4 on coinciding debut events in San Francisco and Stockholm. Also EA also confirmed that Battlefield 4 will be powered by DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine.

Regarding info released from EA, there will be a lot of multiplayer designs that will be mixed into the single player of Battlefield 4.

According to an EA spokesperson, they confirmed that Battlefield4 will be released for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. There was no confirmation that Battlefield 4 will be on next gen platforms.

People who pre-order Battlefield 4 will get a Premium expansion pack for free.

EA also announced that there will be a Digital Deluxe version of Battlefield 4, that version of the game will be a Origin exclusive that will include some extra in-game digital items.

The Battlefield 4 mulitplayer beta and Premium expansion pack will be available for players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe version of Battlefield 4.
